Discovering Black’s: Innovative Design on Cattolica Beach

In the picturesque seaside town of Cattolica, there is an architectural jewel that fascinates and inspires: it is Black’s, a modern venue that goes far beyond its definition of a café. This elegant and characteristic bar is a perfect example of how intelligent design and architectural innovation can transform even the most compact spaces into oases of openness and hospitality.

One of Black’s strengths is its use of Sunroom’s Tuttovetro Slide system, which allows a seamless continuum between interior and exterior spaces. In a limited space, this architectural solution offers an incredible total openness, allowing visitors to enjoy the panoramic view of the waterfront without intrusive visual encumbrances.

One of the most surprising features of this solution is the fully glazed curved corner on a fixed frame. This bold architectural choice, also installed by Sunroom, gives Black’s a distinctive touch and uniqueness that captures the visitors’ attention. The result is a bright and airy space, where natural light abounds and the feeling of freedom is palpable.

But the real magic of Black’s lies in its ability to offer an experience of openness and roomines even within limited spaces. This achievement demonstrates how architecture and design can overcome dimensional challenges, creating places that make people feel at ease, no matter how small.

In a world where architectural innovation and intelligent design come together, Sunroom always manages to create extraordinary examples of how creativity can transform environments. The appeal is for those seeking a unique experience, which combines modern aesthetics with functionality, demonstrating that even small spaces can offer a great feeling of openness.

Victor Lounge – Restaurant & Cocktail bar

Victor Lounge in Riccione is a modern Restaurant & Cocktail bar, which recently underwent an ambitious restyling.

Thanks to its strategic position on Viale Ceccarini, Victor Lounge is an exclusive one-of-a-kind venue with an unmistakable style and refined design.

The large windows of Victor Lounge feature the Sunroom S.150 TT sliding system, with minimal thermal break profiles. Thanks to its uprights and excellent thermal-acoustic insulation, our glazed unit was selected to delimit the front section, and allows a full view of the outside, even in the winter season.

The black matte hue used for the profiles is perfectly blended with the structure and the lighting created to bring out each single element, becoming itself an object of attraction.

Three S.70 Verticale sliding doors with two panels, one of which is stationary, were selected for the bar area, located on one side of the room and featuring a double internal and external overlook.

The same model was also used for the display kitchen area, which offers real show for patrons who want to spend an evening in this amazing place in the heart of the Riccione nightlife.

The minimal design and the refined functionality of our products, as well as their colours and lights, have transformed this well-known, fashionable and trendy meeting point.

VILLA WITH POOL Faenza

This single-family, modern style villa is situated in Faenza and was designed by the Ghetti-Venturini Architectural Studio. It has two main areas united by a central body and a large outdoor area with a pool.

The house was designed to blend into the surrounding garden, keeping comfort and functionality as the most important elements. The large amount of glass allows the daylight to illuminate the environments in all seasons and at any time of the day, with a full, unobstructed view of the spacious garden. The vast outdoor area is in continuous contact with the building itself. Great care was taken in the analysis of the villa’s energy efficiency, designing it to have zero impact and thus equipped with doors and windows with high thermal insulation that negate the risk of thermal bridges or sound pollution.

The large glazed units were created using the Sunroom S. 150 TT sliding system with minimal profiles with thermal break and installed according to the state-of-the-art by our partner, Edilpiù. From the technological point of view, the Sunroom minimal sliding door – with a central node size of 26 mm – ensures high thermal and sound insulation performance. Performance is ensured by the thermal break technology, in polyamide, that allows the development of solid and resistant profiles with reduced dimensions. The S.150 TT minimal sliding system allows the interpretation of different design solutions due to its different types of openings and accessories with their patented design.

Each part of the building was carefully designed and each element has its own precise function in terms of space and communication between the indoors and outdoors, carefully evaluated by Edilpiù. This includes the patio at the front by the pool that transforms into a relaxation and dining corner for relaxing after a refreshing dip. Thanks to the Sunroom Tuttovetro Slide frameless sliding system, the home and outdoors are once again connected. The clean aesthetics and extreme elegance of the Sunroom Tuttovetro Slide frameless sliding system ensures a naturally luminous space that allows you to fully enjoy the fantastic view of the pool and garden. It opens quickly, offering maximum practicality and security thanks to the tempered glass sheets. All of the accessories are minimal and discreet. The closures are operated using internal knobs. The rollers are made of stainless steel and the panels slide on lower tracks with a stainless steel lining for maximum durability.

LA LUCERNA DI FERRO RESTAURANT

Located on the tip of the estuary of the river from which it takes its name, Bocca di Magra is a small town on the border between Liguria and Tuscany, in a strip of land that separates the sea from the majestic Apuan Alps. Here, in 1968, the platform was built on the mouth of the river that evolved from a terrace with tables and rocking chairs to become the home of the current restaurant, La Lucerna di Ferro in 2017, on the platform suspended on the river.

The major investment was made based on a design by Florentine Architect Sestieri, while our partner, Nuova Alluminio 2000 took care of the installation of the S.70 motorised vertical sliding doors that enclose the large hall from which you can admire a unique panorama.

The installation includes three modules on the front, for a length of about 12 metres, and three side modules of 6.5 metres. Both solutions have three panels, one fixed that also works as a parapet, with double-glazing for good insulation. The profiles are white, with the special pre-oxidizing treatment that helps fight the effects of salty air.

The choice of S. 70 motorised vertical sliding doors was ideal because it lets the guests at La Lucerna di Ferro enjoy a breathtaking view and benefit from the natural ventilation that makes the indoor environment more healthy and pleasant in any season.

VILLA WITH GARDEN Rome

A dream setting for a beautiful detached villa in the outskirts of Rome. The client was looking for an extension of its building that would make it possible to enjoy the large outdoor space without sacrificing comfort and liveability in every season.

Tecnoart is the installer partner that, through the creation of the large Clima TT conservatory with thermal break covering about 30 m2, built a living area that can be used throughout the year to be able to enjoy the outdoor space with a functional and constant connection with the environment inside the home.

Initially a masonry perimeter threshold was built to overcome a previous height difference, then the entire structure was installed with some important aesthetic and functional features. For example, the glazing covering part of the roof has the dual purpose of hiding part of the sloping roof on the structure and at the same time hiding the movement of the curtains, which is not pleasing to the eye.

The S.150 TT minimal sliding door with thermal break was chosen for the entire perimeter of the structure to facilitate a full view of the outside, thanks to its reduced profiles with a modern and exclusive design and to the excellent thermal-acoustic insulation for optimal living comfort.

JAYAMAHAL RESIDENCE

The project, a result of the collaboration with the famous Indian studio, Bhoomi Putra Architects -coordinated by star architect Alok Shetty- and our Indian partner, P3 Architectural Solutions, called for the installation of the S.150 TT minimal sliding door inside the Jayamahal Residence in Bangalore.

Completed in 2019, the design called for the installation of the exclusive Sunroom S. 150 TT sliding system with minimal thermo-insulated profiles on the front of the building, with a length of almost seven metres and a truly impressive height that slightly exceeds 3.5 m  for an exceptional aesthetic impact. The glazing is triple-glazed, while the bottom track is recessed in the floor.

The decision to use the Sunroom S. 150 TT sliding door was due to its distinctive features: its special profiles have a central upright of only 26 mm, offering an almost completely unencumbered view of the outdoors, and it slides on rollers with stainless steel wheels that slide on a support that is also made of stainless steel. This system allows extremely light sliding, even in the event of very heavy glazing, like in the Jayamahal Residence. Also, the special resistance of the rollers allows the creation of panels with a total weight of up to 400 kg.

The matte black shade of the profiles is in perfect harmony with the modern structure, and the lighting created to highlight each individual element becomes itself an object of attraction thanks to the brightness provided by the large glazed surface of the S. 150 TT system and its many refractions.

VILLA WITH GARDEN

In the Styria region, in Austria, as part of a renovation project for a typical Austrian home, our partner Glavassevich Wintergärtner GmbH created a new conservatory with living and relaxation area, inserting two distinct Sunroom structures, (Puro and Puro TT with thermal break profiles) and a S.150 TT minimal sliding door system, also by Sunroom.

The design is in complete harmony with both the landscape and the architectural context. Using Sunroom products, an innovative solution was found that enhances the outdoor areas, making them usable throughout the year. Specifically, the project was aimed at stimulating the desire to use this large (now habitable) terrace, respecting the special features of the building and its sustainability.

The first Puro TT structure with thermal break profiles is located to the right of the building and is ca. 25 m2 with a roof glazing with 48 mm insulated panels. The snow load is 160 kg/m2 and the beams are steel-reinforced to cope with the heavy snowfall during Styria winters. For maximum thermal comfort, the front of the structure has S.150 TT minimal sliding doors with three panels, while the sides have the two-panel type. Both systems have triple-glazing. The installation of the second Puro structure with non-thermal profiles allows the outdoor space to be flexible with outdoor, practical, and functional furnishings. This area is about 30 m2 with glazing in the roof made up of multi-layered glass.

The Sunroom conservatory integrates perfectly in this exclusive space, which is now completely usable, and contributes to making the house unique and an expression of those who live there.

ROYAL BEACH RESTAURANT

Royal Beach requested the creation of a new outdoor area that could best welcome its clients by day, as a modern beach resort, as well as by night, as an elegant beach-side restaurant.

The client has decided to completely renovate the outdoor area in an effort to enhance every space to fit harmoniously into the natural environment and create a new, liveable outdoor area that can be used all year round. The renovations were designed and implemented by the Edilpiù Srl team that, in about three months, gave new life to this sophisticated corner of the coast.  The project called for the creation of a self-supporting bioclimatic pergola positioned on a previously built plateau according to the precise evaluations of the partner installer, Edilpiù Srl.

Sunroom Oskura is patented in Europe, and is definitely a guarantee of reliability and durability. As a flexible and modern sunshade system, it offers many advantages for commercial buildings as it is possible to modulate sunlight and heat, depending on the season and on the various needs. With its adjustable and retractable slats, it allows the sun rays to filter through on cooler days and create a healthy and ideal indoor micro-climate, while the full closure of the roof offers good resistance to rain or direct sunlight. Also, the perfect sliding of its electrically-motorised closing system allows for quiet and smooth packing that will not disturb the guests during dinner or relaxation.

Another great advantage of the Oskura bioclimatic pergola was the possibility to customize it through the side glass closing systems to be able to enjoy the Royal Beach restaurant practically all year round!  For this reason, our partner Edilpiù performed the installation of the Sunroom Tuttovetro Slide frameless sliding doors around the entire perimeter of the structure as the ideal addition to the bioclimatic pergola.

The clean appearance and extreme elegance of this type of glazed unit combined with the sustainability of the materials used offers a bright environment that “exceeds” the border between indoors and outdoors, for a complete sea view without the obstruction of vertical profiles.

The elegant black colour of the Oskura pergola harmonizes with the wood recovered from the old Venetian mooring posts used as open beams to make the Royal Beach location truly unique and exclusive. The attention to detail and harmony with the landscape in the project carried out by Edilpiù Srl is evident even in the choice of the last Sunroom S. 70 TT sliding glass element.  Secure and sturdy, this type of glazed unit ensures a significant aesthetic impact, is particularly solid thanks to its central reinforcements, and it can also be used to create large panels and glazing of various thicknesses. The ergonomic handle is easy to use and perfectly suitable to commercial areas.

Finally, a very important element, it includes a recessed floor track for maximum practicality and minimum obstruction for passing guests.

ZENZERO BAR

Zenzero is a charming location, a modern trendy cocktail & lounge bar, recently the subject of an ambitious restyling as the result of the renovation project conducted by our installer partner Edilpiù.

The owner intended to completely renovate the outdoor area to offer guests comfort and protection from the weather. The new structure now has a large pergola with three distinct blocks that replaced an old, crumbling canopy. And for the best use of the outdoors in terms of practicality and style, two Sunroom Oskura bioclimatic pergolas were installed in a chocolate brown shade. Under the first pergola, which covers about 12 m2, the Tuttovetro Slide frameless sliding system was installed, with profiles in the same colour as the bioclimatic pergola. Both structures are equipped with perimeter LED lights.

One particular detail of this project is that the bar area has an S. 70 vertical sliding door with three panels: two fixed and one that opens inward, with the possibility of raising the glass.

In this manner it is possible to serve Zenzero’s customers directly from the large sliding glazed unit, which becomes a distinctive and original architectural element.

It is a custom solution for the contract sector that has seen Sunroom products become the leading player with intelligent space distribution and the state-of-the-art construction of our partner, Edilpiù.

Penthouse Astana

A penthouse in Astana (Kazakhstan) in a residential area characterized by sophisticated buildings with distinct shapes, so the project began with excellent potential. The concept was to create an indoor zen garden, enhancing an environment that otherwise would not have had its precise definition.

The project required a complete restoration that included the installation of the Sunroom Puro TT thermal break system, ideal for creating conservatories. Creating an oasis of well-being that radiates light and relaxation was the goal of our partner, Salvatore Autorino Associati, which took care of both the design and installation. The Puro TT conservatory with thermal break profiles covers an area of about 25 m2 within four perimeter walls with S.70 TT sliding glazed units, also with thermo-insulated profiles. Light plays the leading role in the new environment with the glass roof that promotes the refraction of the natural light. Already at the beginning of the design phase, glass was elected to ensure a direct relationship with nature: Puro TT is, in fact, made up of glass elements and very slim aluminium beams. Even the wood elements, with their warm and natural tones, increase this magical harmony. Using the Puro TT roof made it possible to create a flat roof with a modern design, in line with the architectural style of the home. The S. 70 TT sliding doors with two or three panels installed on all four sides of the large courtyard offer maximum flexibility and light.  On the outside of the penthouse the completely openable Oskura bioclimatic pergola with retractable slats was installed to be able to enjoy the terrace in the mildest season and to have a pleasant conversation area overlooking the city.

Thanks to the large glazed units, the use of high-performance materials, and the expert space distribution, this penthouse is the result of excellent renovation work using technologically cutting-edge Sunroom products with unique expressive shapes.

Penthouse Rome

A Sunroom bioclimatic solar greenhouse is an excellent solution for safeguarding the environment and saving energy and it also offers a strong definition of spaces. The Sunroom bioclimatic solar greenhouse is also the perfect answer for creating an environment dedicated to fun and relaxation. In the installation created by our partner, Baltera srl, a Clima bioclimatic solar greenhouse was built attached to the house, which is the ideal choice if you wish to make use of a space that would otherwise remain unused during the winter.

To take advantage of the sunlight, during the design phase, the orientation of the bioclimatic solar greenhouse was evaluated to promote energy savings and comfort. The design by Arch. Proietti in collaboration with the installer partner, Baltera srl, called for the use of the Clima aluminium and glass system for bioclimatic solar greenhouses with 12 fields of glass for maximum brightness. The slender profiles and custom finishes made the difference in choosing Clima.

With the changing of the seasons, the way the Clima bioclimatic solar greenhouse is used also changes. Thanks to the installation of the S.70 sliding door, it is possible to maintain the heat of the sun’s rays through the glazed surfaces in the cooler periods.  In the summer, on the other hand, the sliding system can open to promote a natural and constant air exchange.
